Councilmember Thomas to Hold Public Roundtable on SETLC

Roundtable Slated for Thursday, October 1 at 4 PM

Councilmember Harry “Tommy” Thomas, Jr, chair of the Committee on Libraries, Parks and Recreation, will convene a public roundtable on the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center on Thursday, October 1, 2009. The roundtable will begin at 4:00 PM in Room 123 of the John A. Wilson Building. The purpose of this public roundtable is to report on the present status of the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center.

Those who wish to testify should contact Angel Nix of the Committee on Libraries, Parks and Recreation by Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 5pm. Ms. Nix may be reached via email at snix@dccouncil.us or by telephone at (202) 724-8107. E-mail messages should include the full name, title, and affiliation (if applicable) of the person(s) testifying. Witnesses should bring seven copies of their written testimony to the hearing. All written testimony will be included in the public record.

If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and invited to be made a part of the official record. Please be sure to include your name, address and the name(s) of your child(ren) enrolled in the RWLC/SETLC program for the record. Copies of written statements should be submitted to the Secretary of the Council, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Suite 5, Washington, D.C. 20004, within 10 business days of the hearing.
